How is Quenta different from other trading platforms?

Network & Wallet

Why do I need to switch to PulseChain?

Quenta is built on PulseChain, so all transactions must occur on that network. Your wallet needs to be connected to PulseChain to interact with the platform.

How do I add PulseChain to my wallet?

MetaMask:

1. Click network dropdown

2. Click "Add Network" or "Custom RPC"

3. Enter:

   • Network Name: PulseChain

   • RPC URL: https://rpc.pulsechain.com

   • Chain ID: 369

   • Currency Symbol: PLS

   • Block Explorer: https://scan.pulsechain.com

WalletConnect:

• PulseChain should be available if your mobile wallet supports it

• Otherwise, add manually using the same details above

Which wallets are supported?

• MetaMask (browser extension)

• WalletConnect (mobile wallets)

Do I need PLS for gas fees?

Yes, you need PLS (PulseChain's native token) to pay for transaction gas fees. You also need USDC for trading collateral.

Can I use ETH instead of USDC?

No, Quenta uses USDC as the quote currency for all trades. You need USDC on PulseChain to trade.

Trading

What is the minimum position size?

There's no strict minimum, but you need:

• Enough USDC for collateral

• Enough PLS for gas fees

• Consider fees (may be significant for very small positions)

Can I trade without leverage?

Yes! Set leverage to 1x for no leverage. You'll still have full exposure to price movements, just without amplification.

What is the maximum leverage?

Typically up to 10x, but it varies by market. Check the "Max Leverage" stat in the market statistics panel.

How are fees calculated?

Fees = (Toll Ratio + Spread Ratio) × Position Size

• Toll Ratio: Protocol fee (typically 0.01-0.1%)

• Spread Ratio: Insurance fund fee (typically 0.01-0.1%)

• Fees are charged on both opening and closing

What happens if PulseX price feed is unavailable?

Quenta has multiple fallback mechanisms:

1. PulseX TWAP feed (primary)

2. PulseX pool reserves (mark price)

3. GeckoTerminal candles

4. Binance (for BTC/ETH)

The platform will automatically use the best available source.

How often are funding payments made?

Typically every 1 hour (3600 seconds), but it can vary by market. Check the funding rate display in the market statistics.

Can I partially close a position?

Currently, you must close the entire position. To reduce size:

1. Close the full position

2. Open a new smaller position if desired

What is slippage?

Slippage is the maximum price difference you'll accept between expected and actual execution price. It protects you from unfavorable fills during volatile periods.

Default: 0.5% (usually sufficient) Increase to: 1-2% for large trades or high volatility

Positions & Margin

What is margin ratio?

Margin ratio = (Margin / Position Value) × 100%

It indicates the health of your position:

• >20%: Safe

• 10-20%: Moderate risk

• <10%: High liquidation risk

When will my position be liquidated?

Liquidation occurs when your margin ratio falls below the maintenance margin threshold. The exact threshold varies by market and is set by the protocol.

To avoid liquidation:

• Keep margin ratio above 15-20%

• Monitor positions regularly

• Add margin if ratio gets low

Can I add margin to a losing position?

Yes! Adding margin:

• Increases your margin ratio (safer)

• Reduces leverage

• Gives you more buffer against losses

• Locks up more capital

Can I remove margin from a profitable position?

Yes! Removing margin:

• Frees up capital

• Increases leverage

• Decreases margin ratio (riskier)

• Returns USDC to your wallet

How is PnL calculated?

PnL = (Current Price - Entry Price) × Position Size × Direction

• Long: Positive when price increases

• Short: Positive when price decreases

• Includes funding payments

• Updates in real-time

Technical

Why is my transaction failing?

Common reasons:

• Insufficient gas: Need more PLS

• Slippage too low: Increase slippage tolerance

• Insufficient balance: Need more USDC

• Network congestion: Wait and try again

• Price moved: Execution price outside slippage

Why isn't my position showing?

• Refresh the page

• Check wallet connection

• Ensure you're on PulseChain

• Wait a moment for data to load

• Check transaction was confirmed

Why is price data not loading?

• Refresh the page

• Check internet connection

• Check PulseChain RPC status

• May be temporary API delay

• Try different time interval on chart

How do I check my transaction on-chain?

1. Go to PulseChain Block Explorer

2. Enter your wallet address or transaction hash

What if I lose my wallet?

If you lose access to your wallet:

• You cannot recover positions without wallet access

• Always backup your seed phrase securely

• Use hardware wallets for better security

Wallet Connection Issues
